FROM THE BOOK:
Wallace and Grace Take the Case, Wallace and Grace and the Cupcake Caper, and Wallace and Grace and the Lost Puppy by Anne Holm
Book One: In this delightful series, kids will be treated to simple whodunit mysteries as an utterly delightful owl duo put their heads together. In their first adventure, Wallace and Grace meet a rabbit who is sure he saw a ghost! But the clues lead them in a different direction. Something is spooking the garden . . . Can Wallace and Grace solve this case?
Book Two: In this adventure, Monty the chipmunk's cupcake is stolen, and he thinks Sal the groundhog took it. If Wallace and Grace want to prove that Sal is the cupcake thief, they will need to look for clues and talk to witnesses. But what happens when the clues lead them to a cupcake thief they never expected?
Book Three: When Wallace and Grace are on a scavenger hunt, they stumble upon a puppy named Jasper who can't find his way home. Will the owl detectives be able to follow clues to get the lost puppy home?
FROM SONYA:
This is a super cute series that my boys adore! They are simple mysteries that include humor and just enough intrigue to keep little ones on the edge of their seat.
LESSONS:
Themes of friendship. These stories are great for helping kids practice noticing details.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
I have not read the third book (it is on our TBR), but the first two were delightful. In the first book, they are searching for what they think may be a ghost in the garden, but in the end, it is just a baby animal.
