FROM SONYA:
Every once in a while I stumble upon a book that, even though it was written for kids, hits me right between the eyes. Squarely between the eyes.
The Ramble Shamble Children by Christina Soontornvat
Not only does this book have a message that every heart needs to hear, but it's also one of the most adorable books I have read for a while.
FROM THE BOOK:
"Down the mountain, across the creek, past the last curve in the road, five children lived together in a ramble shamble house."
FROM SONYA:
Together the children work hard to take care of their wonderful little home. They pull weeds, feed the chickens, make meals, and tend the garden.
One day, as the children are looking at a book, they see a picture of a beautiful "proper" house. They stand back and begin to compare the picture to their ramble shamble house. Suddenly, their house does not look as nice as they once thought it did,
They decide to make some changes to turn their ramble shamble house into a "proper" home. Go get yourself a copy to see how the story ends! I don't want to spoil it for you.
